APPROACH
Evaluation and feedback sharing by on the case of transforming Stadiou street to a pedestrian route. Citizens will solicite a feedback on whether they can alternatively walk, cycle and/or use public transport for their daily mobility in the overall area around Stadiou str.
EXPECTED OUTCOME
Simulate a decision making process which accomodates citizens and other stakeholders’ feedback to a great expect aiming at an optimized urban planning and an eco friendly manners.
Click the link below on the green button to see the city of Athens, where we simulate the closure of a part of Stadiou street for pedestrian use and alternative mobility.
Choose in the menu the option of “Content”. The overview of all data layers is added on the left side where you can navigate among the layers of the simulation. A delta layer is calculated where the effect in the nearby traffic is calculated.
By clicking on the “i” in each layer you can monitor the explanation of the results. Dark pink refers to a high increase in the traffic that resulted from the closure of Stadiou and dark green to high decrease of traffic.
Press on “Comment” in the upper menu, add an email and press “Check sign-in”. Then select “Leave a new comment for this case”.
You can pinpoint in the map, type your feedback in the text box, choose the category of feedback (planning, visualization, simulation, other) and press “Add comment”.
You can show on the map all existing comments by selecting “Show case comments”.
